Wierded Out By a Nurse
I had my first appointment with a GI specialist a few weeks ago. There was a male nurse who took my history- one of those guys that looks like he just stepped out of the free weight room at Gold's gym- huge neck and arms. We were talking about my problem with swallowing pills abs he said he has the same problem and that his friends tease him for being such a big guy and not being able to swallow a pill.
A couple weeks later, he sends me this text from his cell phone trying to get a date with me. I guess he took my number from my medical recs. It's kinda creepy ana I am already dreading my next appointment in a few weeks. It's going to be awkward, to say the least. I hope he didn't get my address too. People are crazy and you just never know anymore what they are capable of doing if you offend them...

That was incredibly unprofessional and (in my opinion) unethical of him! Yikes! You have every right to report him to the office/medical team he works for. But, I understand if you don't feel comfortable doing so.

. I just want to follow up on what Erin said. Your doctor should want to and it is in their interest to hear about someone in their employ who is acting unprofessionally. The place to start is the doctor's office , but I also want to share this page from Physicians for Patient Protection which discusses how to report when a non-physician practitioner is the issue: https://www.physiciansforpatientprotection.org/patient-resources/how-to-report. The page doesn't specifically address ethical issues, but some of what is covered would still apply. Every patient deserves to be treated with professionalism and respect.
